What you need to know about Vida Loca tattoos
How much is a tattoo?
This is totally dependant on which type or size you go for. Usually prices are discussed in shop and with the artist you choose. You can get in touch with the artist by emailing them at info@vidalocatattoobolton with their name as the subject. Or contacting them via the team page or on social media. As a standard we charge £70 per hour.
Can I just walk in the shop for a tattoo?
We do take walk-ins occassionally but its best to check our facebook page for updates as we will post artist availability there. If we cant fit you in that day we can work with you for a better time.
Does it hurt?
This all depends on you threshold. Generally speaking the thought of the tattoo gets people and once its being done they realise they had nothing to worry about. If you are unsure try it on a fleshy part of the body first.
Can I bring support?
Theres only one person allowed per station, however we have a great cafe where your support can have a brew and maybe something to eat while they wait for you.
Whats the best ID to bring?
There are many different types of ID but we suggest something like a passport or driving license with an up to date photo of you.
How old do I have to be for a tattoo?
In the UK you have to be at least 18 years old to have a tattoo. This is why we require ID, so please don't be offended if we ask, we just have to make sure.
What tattoo can I choose?
Most people who visit the shop have an idea of the type of tattoo they want. But don't worry, we have some great artists with big portfolios that you can browse through to ensure that your new ink is the best fit for you!
Is it safe to tattoo?
Having a tattoo is very safe, at Vida every piece of equipment is sterilised before use and the needles are on a strict 1 time use to keep in line with our high health standards. Each needle is packaged and comes straight from the manufacturer in a sealed pouch and opened in front of you.
How long does a tattoo take to heal?
Generally the tattoo will take 2 weeks to heal. At first it will feel like a little bit of sunburn for a couple of days, its perfectly normal for the tattoo to scab and visible dry skin (no picking though!). It's important to allow the tattoo to heal itself, ask your artist for recommended creams to aid the heal.
